Hadeel Assad, MD, hematology/oncology fellow, Providence Hospital and Medical Center, discusses an analysis of the impact of breast cancer diagnosis on sexual dysfunction.

• Sexual dysfunction is a common and under acknowledged disorder in women with breast cancer.
• 45 women were assessed with an anonymous questionnaire.
• Overall, 45% of women experienced a decline in sexual health. There was a more significant design after breast cancer treatment than after diagnosis.
• Sexual dysfunction was addressed by the treating oncologist in 3 out of 45 women.
